Hey Rob, thanks for the pics! Could you explain the issue with the Pro Sport a little better? If I am understanding correctly, the minimum for the Pro Sport is 20 lbs or 1 year old, using the harness mode?

Here was my plan and let me know if its not going to work: We have an infant seat (Graco) that will be used in both of our cars until our son meets the requirements to sit in the Pro Sport front facing. We were estimating he would meet the requirements for the switch somewhere in months 8-12.

Sounds like we will have to wait a little longer than planned if we do the Pro Sport.

Great thread. I'm now an expecting dad and took off my exhaust trying to see if the stock sounding X is livable for my little one.
So all you dads ... and moms, what exhaust are you running with your little ones in the car? Hope I'm not thread jacking.

at 8-12 months you should be good to go on using the ProSport. My daughter has been able to use it since about 9-10 months (rear-facing in my daily Denali and our Jetta). As long as you use the ProSport in front facing (not reclined aka rear-facing) mode there will be no issues at all. Just keep in mind the location of the upper restraints on the rear decklid (I only through it in the middle for reference, but if my daughter is in the car the ProSport is behind the passenger seat

As for an exhaust.. funny that my car is LOUD and I never changed a thing for my daughter.. when she is in there she goes straight to sleep WOOT! (Invidia N1 catback, UR O2 DP and TP)

Just so everyone is clear - an infant should ALWAYS site rear-facing until they are 20lbs AND 1 year old. Has to be both. Some of the advice in this thread is 100% incorrect. Never sacrifice the safety of your child so you can get a safety seat that fits your car!

To the mod.. not sure where you think you were going with that... hence the ACTUAL pic of the manual above.. but whatever...

new dad's just check here to save this thread from going off course

http://www.nhtsa.gov/ChildSafety/step2

OK, enough of the retardedness.. bottomline, the ProSport will work if YOU (the driver and passenger) are SHORT .. which makes room for it to fit in the rear-facing position.. forward facing, no issues at all...

The ProRide I assume will work, but mine isnt here yet..

The Britax Chaperone is an awesome seat and fits in the center for an infant.. but the stroller doesnt fit at all in the trunk!

For those who have the Recaro ProRide what color did you get? Midnight or sable? I want whichever color matches our interior.

I have twins so I got the recaro sport child seats that change into a booster they match the front recaros and really look great.
They are some of the safest baby seats out there and they are FFA approved to be used on flights.
They are a little on the costly side but well worth it and last years mod I had a whole lot of people ask about them.

Just check out recaros wed site http://www.recaro-cs.com/us/home.html

As for the stroller I had a twin one and it fit really good in the boot so any thing you get should fit because that twin one was big vary hard to get through doors.
