Yes we are now an Evo only family!
Audi's are a dime a dozen I've had five and now 3 Evos. This one is super clean and the price was the best in the pacific NW for these cars. I shopped around well.
Congrats. Both my son and I have 2011 Evo X GSR's. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-two-evos.html
As for the comment about how many PWRC races Audi has won, let's take a different slant. How many LeMans 24 hour races has Mitsubishi won? I lost count at zero. Race wins in and of themselves mean nothing. If we want to look at Rally Racing then everyone should be rushing to get a Citroen as they have positively owned WRC for the last decade.

But I have to agree the Evo is more interesting then anything in Audi's line up today.
Calling out Audi is just silly in this case anyway, their Audi Quattro was the grandfather of every AWD rally car in existence today. They pioneered the AWD turbocharged formula and are the shoulders the Evo is standing on today.

Cars I drove for dailys went this way. 1998 A4-2000 A6-2001 S4-2003 EVO VIII-2011 A4-2010 EVO X GSR. I think I bought the first A4 in 2004 or 2005 roughly. I loved the 2001 S4 but after driving a couple EVO's I was hooked. The EVO is just more of a drivers car much less to non existent luxury like the Audi. After totaling the EVO VIII I bought the 2011 A4 and it is a great car. I would highly recommend it to anyone whom wants a comfortable sporty sedan. Best entry level luxury car hands down, Audi makes comfort and as mentioned they really are kings and creators on the turbo charged AWD market. If the time comes for a luxury car again ( which may happen ) I will look to Audi once again as I said I've owned five and have been happy with them all. It's just the Evo puts a smile on my face like no other. Now on my wife's face also!
Be careful. While I completely agree with you, if we say too many nice things about the early Audi Quattros, then we might be slip and mention Michele Mouton, as well, and then we'll have all the women-haters attacking us.
