Basically the title says it all. How much would a stock 08 with like 60k miles cost in 3 years?

20k give or take. They seem to hold value way better than I think is reasonable, but hey as an owner I won't complain.

Like operating costs?
I use a stat tracker for my iPhone.

For 1 year:

For oil changes, I change religiously at 3,000 miles, so figure 5 times over 15,000 miles, comes out to be about $150 ($25 for oil - $5 for filter)

ETA: Never mind, I see what you are asking now.

i would say less.. more or less equivalent to an 8 in terms its place in the market so most people 3 yrs from now would be looking for a MY10, 11, 12.. unless there was a good reason to get a 2008

. it's kinda like the 350z's. when the 2nd gen debuted, all the 1st gens dipped in price.

Kinda, sorta, little bit.

However, a quick search on cars.com shows that a 2003 350Z, for example, can easily be had for under $10K, but a 2003 Evo starts at $15K.

There is no doubt that Evo's tend to hold their value better than most cars.

As for the why buy an '08? The same could be said about why buy an VIII when you could buy a IX.

Overall, three years down the line, I can't see them being worth a whole lot more than $20K or a whole lot less than $15K.

I think also there is some dependence on your geographical location. There are plenty of 2005's and 06's in the $23 to $25 k range with 50-60k mi. I'd say in 2015 a 60k mi 08 will be $24k. Little less for a GSR little more for an MR. May also depend if the line is discontinued after 2013 as is rumored.
