Guyz,

while i was on my way back home, on my friends Evo X RS, i pushed the 2nd, 3rd gear and calm down, and again pushed 3rd and 4th gear, n than drove normally, there was a caution alert showed up on the screen says "Rest Reminder" + "Cup of tea symbol" !!

I was like WTF ..

the day after i took it for 40km, n after that started to push it hard, after 10 minutes "Rest Reminder" + "Cup of tea symbol" showed up !!



now, wat i know about this alert it showes up on SST, when the gear is hot, all what u need is to stop the car for 5 - 10 minutes without turning it off,,

but this car is manual transmission, so wat will be the reason !!

That's a reminder that can be turned off and on in the settings of the screen between the gauges as a reminder on long road trips to stop and rest

As far as I know, it's completely time based (comes on every few hours or so) and has nothing to do with performance or any issues.

 

your car needs a coffee break, your driving was too boring and it needed a pick-me-up but seriously probably just a coincidence. if youre really worried about it call/bring it to a dealership and maybe they can explain its function/if there are any issues with how frequently it comes on.

 

before turning the car on, use the info button on the dash, go to settings, then hold the button down. You will see the rest button. Its an alarm to let you know to take a break during long trips. Its user set.

If you want to turn it off just follow the steps i put up top.
