I had it in my head differently and people took it personally. When putting something in "quotations" like "this" I tend to interpret it online as sarcasm, which is what I meant when I said "downgrade." I apologize if anyone seriously took offense to this, I'm probably going to some dealerships this weekend to look at a few evos that caught my eye. Thanks to those that gave legit advice, some of your posts were actually really helpful.

Was that so hard? If he said that there would have been no problems.
No offense man, I know someone who also "downgrade" to an evo, coming from a Cayman S, usually the downgrade would mean luxury downgrade, or brand downgrade, afterall, many people would prefer Porsche over Mitsubishi.

But again, I know very well that compare TT to an Evo is like comparing apple to oranges, I consider evo to be more practical.

Maybe people are failing to see in other's POV, like the OP and almost everyone here.

I aint hating. I love almost all cars. If I was a millionaire I would have me a Jay Leno garage. But your car is a 2012. I looked on youtube and it seems like a sweet car. I think it kind of looks like the new Beetles though. But it sounds really nice. You obviously have the income and credit for one. It's fairly rare. There might be a wait list for one. You will loose money selling it so early.

What don't you like about the car? Are you thinking of selling it solely for financial reasons?
thats because, Voltswagon is to audi As toyota is to lexus and as Honda is to Acura... Seriously i had a 04 passat and my firend had a Audi A4 it was the same damn car... Even had the Terrible Ignition coil issues...

Audi is eh, BMW is best. The Evo is a totally Different class all together, ill say this ive owned pretty much all types of cars in my day, and seriously my Evo is my top Fav from all them [for all around Car] great MPG [when out of boost] Freaking fast, beats pretty much anything around here [well im highly modded] AWD, Awesome seats. Sure its not a luxury class, but to each his own. Im more the hardcore driver anyway id pass on leather seats in summer to my recaros anyday.

I traded my 2010 Camaro 2ss/RS for my EvoIX and they cut me a check for cash back [i owned the camaro outright] and i dont consider it a downgrade what so ever, the evo is much faster and not everyone on the highway has one. Also it retains Value much better then most.

You might find the MR interior surprisingly good. So good that my next Evo will probably be one. Also, I spent a day adding sound deadening everywhere.

Im always amazed at the gas mileage some people get. Pure freeway driving, I will get around 22mpg. City driving, 16mpg. I havent been tuned yet - maybe that will help.

our cars also get better mpg in certain gears at certain speeds..as obvious as that sounds...like driving down a 35mph street..being in 4th or 5th will net you much worse mpg...ive noticed that if you keep the rpms at just below 3k the screen will tell me im getting like 30+

Cruise control at 60mph I average 25/26mpg. Also depends on the freeway. Lots of hills I get less obviously.

City driving is pretty bad though lol.

I personally like that I have yet to, in a year and half of driving my Evo X, see more than 2 Evo X's total.

It's slowbaru heaven here in the Hudson Valley in NY. They are so common it makes me sometimes question my choice in getting an Evo (the masses are usually right, right?) until I realize in my rearview how far back they are

Hey, a buddy of mine has a TT RS that I ride in on a monthly basis so I feel qualified to answer. You definitely won't have as comfortable of a ride, if that's something you're okay with then make the switch. Other than that I'm sure you're already aware of how much value you lose when selling a new car. I also came from an 08 STI, been there, done that, would not recommend. Good luck with your search!

I too am getting 22mpg, and am hitting 370wtq on E85

I also put some Perelli all seasons on, same as the Audi stock tire, and it is very comfortable. I put on Megan Racing coils, and they can be adjusted for a great ride, I'm really impressed with their build quality too, considering they aren't expensive. My last X I either had Yoko's or Michelin DSST's, and it was meh.
