Wife wants to learn to drive a stick. Help!!
I say teach her, have fun with it. Plus it's a damn good excuse to get an upgraded clutch and other parts that you "might as well" do while you've got the car apart
Personally I'm excited to teach my girl to drive my EVO, she's somewhat interested in learning to drive stick but not very interested at all in driving the EVO in particular. I think she's gonna be great at it. I look forward to all the looks, stares and reactions when I'm riding shotgun with her driving and she pulls on some unsuspecting fool. Plus it's always good to have someone you trust who can drive home if you have a few too many.

I went through this same thing with my wife..here was my strategy. I let her try on my old Prelude (at the time it was my baby). Got to the first stop sign n she stalled, instead of telling her the clutch must be depressed to start the engine I just let her freak out as a car came up behind her, on par with most women she got overly nervous and just got out of the car. I gave the "my dumb wife is trying to learn look to the guy behind us and he gave me the good-grief look back" After that she never asked again and now says its an excuse for her to be able to drink when out cuz she can't drive my car.
In my experience, if a girl didn't learn when she was a teenager she never will. I always though chicks that drove stick when I was young (or even now) is HOT!!! For obvious reasons lol

Tell her that the focus rectifier in the turbo encapsulator is a very high class of technical advancement... because The original machine had a base-plate of prefabulated amulite, surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the pentametric fan. The main winding was of the normal lotus-o-delta type placed in panendermic semi-boloid slots in the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a nonreversible trem'e pipe to the differential girdlespring on the 'up' end of the grammeters.
Im sure she will understand.

LOVE THIS ONE!!! hahahaha
So how bad is it to stall? having it in first gear, foot on break and drop the clutch forgetting you had it in first, .................... Or slowing down to a stop in fifth gear forgetting you had it in gear?
