Does the rear wind diffuser fade?
Because if it was their fault then they should fix it. Also, like he said, if they mess it up more he has grounds to get a new one that they pay for. If he does it himself and it doesn't work then the shop has plausible deniablility saying that he did it himself when he tried to fix it.
My wife has a Dr's appointment I need to take her to so I will be leaving work early anyways and I have extra time to blow and the shop is on my way so I might as well stop there and get them to take care of it since they did it. I haven't washed my car since I got it back from them. In fact I haven't been driving it either and have been taking the Eclipse lately so I know I didn't do it.
If it doesn't work out you can always take the diffuser off and plasti-dip it or something. Cheaper alternative to having to buy a new one. I think it'll come off if it's just wax deep in the plastic.
