Hey guys,at first I was looking into getting the ETS V2 or V2 quite. However, more recently I have been looking into the Buschur as they seem to get more HP and what I have been told a better sound. So my question which of the 2 are a better exhaust; Buschur dual catback w/ quite muffler or the crossflow? Thanks

I would go Crossflow. I LOVE the way that the quiet muffler sounds- I use to have it- but it hangs pretty low. I could even scrape on some stuff with the X at the stock height.

So, I vote Crossflow exhaust..

I don't think Buschur dual catback w/quiet muffler is quiet at all. (Subjective)
Try T1R sparrow, Borla, or Magnaflow/Buschur Crossflow if you want quiet exhausts.

Quiet is not a huge issue, but a quieter exhaust when not on WOT is preferred. I am not worried about cops, I just don't want to be a nuisance when I leave for work at 0430 if I drive the evo. Performance 1st, quieter 2nd.

Well, it would stand to reason that if the OP ran the exhaust with no cat then it would be louder.

Based on the information provided it seems either version would be legal because the OP just mentions changing the cat-back and nothing else.

I do have a build planned, but that will take significant time... eventually a high flow cat or resonated test pipe. I will not be cracking open the block or anything, been there and done that before, cost and wear and tear on the vehicle is not something I will be doing at this time in my life. I think a nice 350-400whp weekend warrior would be fun based off of a MAP EF2 turbo, cobb AP, AMS Intercooler setup w/ pipes, downpipe/testpipe and some mild stage 1 cams. Keep in mind I am in an area with only 91 and no E85 for at least a 45min drive. So a big monster build is out of the question.

EDIT: As for smog or it being legal, I am not worried about. Got a few years before that comes up, and I don't get much CHP in my area.

I have the bullet muffler version and it's not THAT loud unless you WOT it. Love that growl! Hell, at 750RPM, it's silent.

I know a guy with the "quiet" version with the muffler down low in the middle and along with a 02 dp and straigh tp, and it's no louder than my old 06 WRX with a Invidia G200 tbe. From what I understand the crossflow uses a quieter yet, more free flowing muffler, and doesn't hang low. I myself am going with either the magnaflow or buschur. The price of the magnaflow is attractive but I like the straight angle cut tips that the buschur can come with.
