Possible Project Car?

Hey Guys,
I was just searching around the web and found a 2010 Evo with a Certified NJ Salvage Title. The car has 10k miles and is up for auction. From the pictures it looks like Front End damage. What do you guys think about this? Is it worth taking the chance of buying and trying to fix it up? Or pass up. Heres the link

All depends on price and what you want to do with it. If you are going to turn it into a track car than it might be a great find. Tear it down, straighten the frame, build the motor and put it together with some new body panels. If it is a DD and you are hoping to resell it at some point it becomes something of a more complicated issue to determine value.

Im looking to purchase an evo as a DD but i do not have enough money to buy. I was wondering if it would be worth it to throw in about 10 grand to get it running and drive it forever haha not forever but you know what i mean.

You need to know how much frame, engine, suspension damage exists. See, if it is a track car you care a little less about the suspension and motr, as you'll be pulling it apart anyway. But as a DD it's a tougher.

Why not? I also prefer to buy cars at online auctions, my last purchase was also Mitsubishi Lancer, it was wrecked after an accident, had a damaged left side. But I just counted that it cost me must mush less to buy it there and to fix it than just to buy a ready one. I wasnt too cheap to fix it of course, but the price at auction (I bought it here http://www.easyexport.us/carfinder/r...e-yearMax=2010 ) was very low so altogether I didnt spend a lot

In my opinion, once a car is in an accident it's never the same.

Look for one that has been rear ended or something.... Front end damage like that might be too much to ever fix properly.
