NEED SOME OPINIONS...Gauges

So i have decided to run a 3 gauge pod on top of my existing cluster. I am going to go with the Defi Advance BF. I currently have a 2012 MR and i am stopping at Stage 2. What 3 gauges in everyone's opinion?

I was thinking:

1- Boost Pressure (not sure if i should go with the 1.2 or the 2.0)
2- Oil Pressure
3- ????

I am looking for an AIR/Fuel. Does Defi make one? Anyone have any suggestions?

thanks for the advice in advance.

Try a search topic has been discussed at length but yeah AEM AFR especially if you plan on doing some data logging.

Four? Why do you need so many gauges?

I had three in my IX and they were nothing but a PITA so I have none in my X.

The common gauges we sell are

Wideband
Boost or Tru Boost
Oil Pressure

If you want a 4th, we have a few options.

Water Temp
Oil Temp
etc.

It's not common for us to sell 4 gauges to a customer.

Thanks!

Michael

If you're on a stock tune: Boost
Tuned: Boost + WB AFR
Built engine? Boost + AFR + Oil Press
Crazy Fuel System? Boost + AFR + Oil Press + Fuel Press

At 4 gauges honestly you should be keeping your eyes on the road and not on your gauges because you're building for track use. You should probably consolidate your Boost and AFR into one gauge like the AEM Failsafe, and rely on Fuel and Oil Press set-ups that can just give single warning sound/light....and you should be data-logging your runs.

I'm adding to what I'm saying because I'm sure this info can be useful to other non-Evo/turbo-gas/ethanol owners too:
Drive a turbo-diesel?
Do you tow? Boost and EGT and TransTemp
Do you not tow? Boost and EGT

For most Diesel enthusiasts that want performance for something other than towing, most of the new programmers are able to give a lot of great info, so the all in one programmer that can be used as a display is a good way to go.

So...you're adding gauges for the sake of adding gauges?

I think the AEM's are 52mm, or at least my last AEM UEGO was.

What pod are you running, the DSG one? Defi makes great gauges, but having a controller for them is a PITA. Personally I think you'd be happier if you went all AEM or if you're on a tight budget Prosports. But there's a lot of love/hate feedback on them. I had Prosport Premium Boost and AEM WB and liked both, but with my 2gauge DSG pillar I bought, I'm going AEM for both gauges.

We have oil press and temp, boost, AFR, and trans temp. I find little value in AFR and boost, only in that there is little I can do about it on the race track. Oil temp and pressure are the only ones I sort of watch - I check trans temp at the end of the heat, mostly because we'd like tO know hot it gets under duress. At Watkins Glen we see 263, btw.

i explicitly wanted no gauges. i have the aem x-wifi so i can use my phone + wifi to see my wideband, i have FP under the hood, the rest of it i can see on evoscan or the sdcard logs, or torque pro.
