Headlight Issues (DRLs and High beams)

I've got a '11 GSR with the factory HIDs. I have two questions about them...

1. The driver-side's high beam isn't working. The regular light comes on fine but you don't hear the click that you hear in the other headlight. The shield isn't coming up exposing more light. The passenger-side high beam works fine. The little metal shield comes up fine exposing more light.

The headlights don't appear to have ever been cracked open. Any idea of what the problem could be? A fuse or wire or something like that? I'd prefer to not have to open up the headlight but I can if that will help me fix it. Searching didn't turn up anything.

2. I tried searching but could only come up with people wanting to disable the DRLs. Well, I want the DRLs connected! The previous owner just unhooked the wires that went into the DRLs. If anyone could take a picture or tell me where these wires go so I can rewire them back into the system that would be awesome! I've attached a picture of the two wires coming out of the DRLs. They look cleanly disconnected so I think he de-pinned them so I haven't been able to find where they originally went.

1. there is a solenoid that actuates the cut-off shield inside your HID projector. take a voltmeter to the wiring harness to make sure that there is voltage when you turn your high beams on. if there is, it is likely that your solenoid is bad (requires opening your headlights to replace)... and at that point, it may be easier to replace the entire housing.

2. not sure why the original owner didn't just pull the DRL relay... hopefully someone can help you with the pinouts...

Thanks! Would you happen to know which exact wire to check? I'll try searching around for a wire diagram.

Also, if you're bored feel free to go out and look at your car to see where the wires go.
