New IC option for X?

Surprised I didn't see anyone talk about it on here so I'll ask first.

AEM new IC and matching piping (in killer gray)

Anyone have it plan to buy it want to buy it?

http://www.aemintakes.com/search/pro...px?Prod=2102-A

Looks pretty cool with cast end tanks too but...

1. cutting the shroud is a little gimpy (sucks too I love the color of the pipes)
2. 13.1HP seems like this would be a highly efficient 3in or 3.5in IC. Aren't 4in closer to making 20+ HP?

What do you guys think?

I'll buy parts that actually fit without cutting holes in things. Not to mention the core isn't centered nor does it fill up the entire opening. Nevermind it reuses part of the stock LICP too.

Plenty of better products already out there IMO.

My complete setup fit perfectly and required no hacking or modification to work:
-Nisei 1-piece UICP
-Depo 3" LICP
-MAP prototype FMIC w/cast end-tanks (very similar to AGP's FMIC).

Yeah the hacking part and the HP rating kinda push me another direction.

Been eyeing the full depo kit in anodized black. Cost effective and works.

How is your LICP holding up?

Personally I'd like to hear from that fella that posted on the ETS vs AMS thread (one of them anyway) that claims he could install the thing WITHOUT removing the bumper cover.

That would be intense, yet impossible I believe.

I totally had to yank my front bumper cover..but it definitely wasn't difficult to install.

Now that I look at a pic I grabbed when I did mine i guess with the underpanel off there's some room to work with. Specially if you don't swap the piping, and have small hands

However the ETS is really great, I love mine (even though it was dirty before I installed it)

Looks great though

Exactly like you'd expect a metal pipe to It's a nice piece though, fit perfect and works well.

Thanks Michael! Never ended up putting the stencil on it, just really love the all black front end now. I miss the idea of sporting a ridiculously nice FMIC and showing it off, but the car has such a nice classy-tuxedo appearance now

Im just wondering why some of you guys have mixed IC, LICP, UICP? Cheaper to mix it up? Why not just buy ETS IC kit?

You get to put more stickers on your front quarter-panel, pretending that the car is sponsored by more companies.

I'm about the pickiest and most **** guy you'll find so I always buy the individual parts that I feel are best to make my ultimate setup; rarely will I buy someone else's kit and rarely do I stick with a single brand of parts. Just because a company makes one thing good, doesn't mean they make another thing (or everything) as well. There are always certain specifications and features I'm looking for with each component of my setup.
