I have the K&N upper, because I bought the K&N Intake. Nothing bad about ETS, I just like the retention of the OE cool-air snorkel and like the airbox design and fitment. I do like how ETS relocates the BOV though.

I am running ETS LICP with my FMIC though. I will likely get an ETS UICP once other mods are done, and I want to have it powdercoated red to match my intake.

Mixing and matching is not a big deal with the X as all the FMICs are designed to fit the factory location, and all the piping kits replace factory pathing.

However, I do have a red Nisei LICP (1pc) available for sale. I didn't use it because I needed to either relocate my BOV or use the LICP with an AMS/ETS style intake. It's a nice looking lightweight piece though

I really wish Nisei would have retained stock BOV placement; had they, I would have theirs since it's 2.75" and single piece aluminum rather than my 3" 2-piece Depo (aluminum and silicone).

Yeah, I bought it in the hopes that I could make it work, but I really wanted my ETS FMIC installed, so I went with the ETS LICP a friend sold me.

This LICP is really lightweight, and when I test fit it, it was perfect. Looks great too.

I love Nisei products, I really wish they made more and made them more readily available. I had their upper and lower pipes on my IX and have their upper on my X. I would of had their FMIC on my IX too but I got an insane deal on a Perrin instead which was also really nice (and lighter in weight).

Blade you going to replace your K&N upper with ETS later? Isnt the K&N pretty good or do you just want them to match?

K&N's is good, unfortunately it's not a full replacement and retains the stock elbow that runs to the intercooler (slight restriction when running an aftermarket FMIC with a 2.5" inlet).

If I were to buy a complete set it would be theirs. Aluminum, 1-piece, mounting brackets, and stock routing. If the LICP were 2.75" instead of 2.5" I would consider them perfect.

Since we're already off topic here, are Nisei products even still in production? Their website is outdated and I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone via phone or email contact information that I used in the past. Such great stuff, hate to see it disappear altogether, especially since I still want a LICP from them at some point in the future.
