Any one have a aftermarket EVO IC/IC pipe kit?

Since you can get a new bigger IC/IC pipe kits for the evo on ebay for just abouth $100 more then the OEM evo kit. I was wondering if anyone has used these on there turbo lancer? Or if these kits run the piping the same as stock?

I'm not sure I understand your question. But bigger piping is not necessarily a good thing. Bigger tubes will increase the volume of the intercooling system, that is not good. If you can, smaller tubes are the way to go. especially with smaller boost applications. (i.e. 7psi on stock Lancer internals.)

A better way to increase tubing efficiency is small/slight bends. No 90 degree angles, or extra long pipes. Short and Straight as possible.

^Awesome, a relative noobie to the forums with insightful info! 2" to 2.25" is what I'd like to see on the lancer for smaller boost applications. And yes, too big...no good. Those kits for the "lancer" you may see on Ebay, are just universal kits that you have to cut-to-fit and other such mods. Post a link if you had one in mind so we can critique it for you.

No, im talking about evo upgrade kits, not the 'lancer' turbo kits.

somthing like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...spagenameZWDVW
with http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...spagenameZWDVW (I know thats not the complete piping, but does it look like it uses the same bends as the stock piping)

I'm confused a tad, if you want information about Evo's, then why not post in the evo forum?.. maybe I'm misreading something.

I'm saying if you have an unmodified 4g94 lancer oz/es whatever, you can't run more than 7-8 psi any way. So aftermarket 'large' piping is not necessary.

I looked at the piping, the size is appropriate, but you would have to modify it anyway. (i.e. cutting modifying mounting locations. I'd just buy a DIY mandrel bent piping kit, this would be cheaper, and will give you more options.

If you are asking strictly on a functionality purpose, this will work fine, with slight modification.

Hope this helped! =)

Here is a better one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...ayphotohosting

just wanting somone to verify if the piping is routed the same as the stock piping/if anyone has this. Just because you can get somthing like this what will work just as good as the oem kit, but its new for not much more $
