How to brake boost?
I'm going to blissfully assume that there's a form of sanctioned racing that starts from a roll and only goes straight (and has so far not made it to Iowa), but maybe this is a good time to remind everyone about the site's rules on discussing or even mentioning street racing....

Correct, road racing uses a rolling start when the pace car pulls off, or when going from a yellow to green though also correct that we wouldn't (or at least I don't) brake boost, we just pick the right gear. It's not so much a drag race as it is wrangling to get positioned for the corner.

As for the rolling start at a "drag race" as said by another guy on here WTF?
That isn't a drag race then. Besides the fact you drive an Evo which is made to go fast around corners on any surface, it wasn't a car designed for straight line pulls... IMHO if your drag racing then you bought the wrong car and your wasting it's potential.

All depends on what is done to each car and most of all depends On The Driver! When you get into higher modifications and power in a FWD your gonna get wheel spin and loose traction thus loosing performance around corners unless you tap the e-brake and pull the car through the corners (assuming you know how and have mastered this). At least with a RWD car and that much power you can power through the corners (assuming you have a proper chasis) and with an AWD vehicle when you get into the higher power AWD just makes the car that much more fun and gives you that much more G-force going around the corners with the added traction and handling.
