How to brake boost?
So this is my first turbo car and I've always wondered how to brake boost, I tried looking it up on YouTube but couldn't really find anything. I am aware it wears your brakes down but a few times won't hurt
if anyone knows and would like to tell me that would be great thanks

For purely informational reasons, not to be used for it's 'general use' reasons:
While cruising (like 3rd gear):
Left foot brake, while right foot on the throttle.
Watch boost gauge show pressure
Release brake.
Also FYI:
If you have an 11+ Evo, it likely won't work. There are thread discussions on this, and most of the threads got to ugly before a decisive answer was decided.

The higher the rpms the better. For example: 40mph, 2nd gear is around 5k or so. Apply brake and gas to start building boost. It takes practice to get up to desired boost level without actually accelerating or slowing down. Once you get the feel of it you will know what to do.
I don't recommend or see any reason to do it in 4th or 5th gear.

But I will say, I have never brake boosted. I have an 11 and can't do it.
What is your purpose in brake boosting?
I'm sure with proper driving technique you won't need to do this just for general all purpose driving around.
Good mods with a supporting tune will go a long way toward reducing spool and off boost response if that's what you're worried about.
