I always thought that was an extension to the rear diffuser. Not many people like those.

It's just the 2008 rear bumper for Canada. It's not just a cover, you will need to replace the entire bumper as there's a metal bar hehind it for collision purposes when it first came out in Canada.

the bumper does NOT need to be replaced.

it does bolt on/through the bumper. there is a bracket inside the bolts go to.

i bought one off a canadian forum member about two years ago.

it would be hard for a canadian owner to give up the extension....

...........'cause they would be left with 6 holes in their bumper !

I didn't even know they were still in production, you have to drill a bunch of holes and slots into the bumper skin (thats why us guys with the buldge cant just take it off)

You must get them from a canadian dealership or contact a canadian evom member and offer some cash as a middle man... you know pms go a long way... hint hint.
And no I am not in Canada.

. . . . thought the same when i got mine.

you will need to drill at least 4 1/4" holes in your bumper cover.
