has anyone had any issues with the aftermarket crank pulley?
Was wondering if anyone has had any drivability issues after installing any type of aftermarket crank pulley? Some say it has given them issues and some say its trouble free. Reason being I am swapping my OEM idler pulleys and upgrading to the Hyundai ones for the 4B11 next week and wanted to upgrade the crank pulley as well. Any input would be much appreciated.
On the "other" forum, Hollywood (whom I respect quite a bit) has a thread (that you can search) titled
" WARNING: Do not replace your stock crank pulley with the aluminum aftermarket junk! "
He shares some of his pictures of how the crank pulley came apart. He's final suggestion was to stick with the Hyundai stuff.
[ I rescaled his picture and re-hosted it, this is 15% of the size of his picture he posted on the other site ]
