Looking for interest in a Lightweight Underdriven Crank pulley

The Crank Pulley in the Ralliart is HUGE and heavy. I have a CNC machine shop that will custom make a lighter underdriven crank pulley for the Ralliart. The problem is that I need 10 people to buy in on this. If I have lots of interest in this then I may get it going. What would you be willing to pay for this? A different belt would be required, and I will provide part numbers for that. I would also be willing to include a belt with the shipment at cost.

Just for all you nay-sayers, the Ralliart has a hamonic dampener pulley not a balancer. Removing the stock pulley will not cause less engine life versus the lighter underdriven replacement unit. By the size of the stock pulley there should be very good gains from this piece. I would expect around 10whp as a baseline. Your car will rev quicker and be more responsive. The only downside I can think to a smaller pulley is to any owner with an aftermarket stereo that draws a lot of power. This pulley will also underdrive the belt driven components which also frees up power.

How much do you think that it would cost?

I can vouch for the effects that this would have. I had a UR pulley on my old Eclipse GT and the effects were very noticeable. The only downside was that it triggered the SES light. They used a pulley from the 3000GT and guessed that it would work for us.

By the looks of things it would be about $60 plus shipping. The belt would probably run in the $20-30 range so your looking at $100 roughly for everything you would need.

I plan to do NO guesswork here. I will test this unit on my own car first and look for any ill effects. They will send me a prototype for testing, at which point I may get the car dynoed to see actual differences. It is possible I could be a vendor on this unit.

For $100, I would definitely be interested.

I think I'll be in for it, gotta make sure I can sneak this in under the girlfriend radar. Let me know when you get a prototype, if possible I'd like to be around when you install it. Then I can go through it once before I do it on my own car.

$100 shipped with the proper belt, yeah... I'm in. Of course, after announcement of gains and testiment of no ill effects.

The only problem with UDP's is INSTALLATION is a bit#h! Plan to spend most of the day with it if youve never done it before.

if you include a good how-to, and say difference in .000 for the press fit...if oven it at 350deg. will be enough to make it enter on the shaft....

count me in...

Yeah, if you put a REALLY GOOD how-to (detailed pictures and all) id be willing to cough up some dough for your troubles.
