I have the red one...have ran both full recirc and 50/50 with no issues....best sounding bov in my opinion just have to make sure you finetune the spring load on the bov

gotta start all the way at the softest setting and basically start driving....boost low rpm and see if it flutters or not...then get out and adjust a little bit..start driving again...whole process takes like 10 minutes

What sound do you try to achieve?

I have one in my IX, it holds well under boost (23 psi) but flutters when it dumps and its pretty loud.

It shouldn't be fluttering that's your turbo not spinning properly....it sounds cool but can ruin your day in the long run....it should always be a clean smooth whoosh sound of air being purged/recirculated the sound is the same just louder under 50/50...and I had to mess with the tension when going from 50/50 to recirc

And what settings did you wind up using? I just got this thing and the instructions that I'm finding are very vague.
Twisting this head I can feel a spring click. How many clicks can you go? My BOV has zero indicators on it like the instructions suggest.

I don't want to over tighten / loosen this thing. So any help is appreciated.

For best performance, full recirc. If you're buying it for the sound - it's kinda silly. Function>sound. I have one, I had to cut the spring to prevent partial throttle surge. Works great now.

Thought I'd add my $.02 to anyone looking to buy this - it came with my car and had part throttle surge. I took the spring out and hit it with a torch to decrease spring force. I overdid it and even all the way tight wouldn't keep it closed in vacuum so I added a washer inside to add more spring preload and that seems to have worked. From the factory the spring is too much even on full soft.

Not a personal review but my cousin has one on his evo x and he seems to like it. The only issue he had was part throttle surge but most likely from not fine tuning the spring tension. All in all it's a pretty good buy. Since it's plug and play with no need for an adapter.

if you have an intake and full exhaust they recommend getting the next spring up from what it comes with since you have more airflow. that should cure any flutter that your having, think it comes with a yellow one and youll a red, or vice versa
