Swapping non heated to Heated Seats?

Has anyone went from non heated seats to heated seats or know how easy/hard it is?

Im planning on buying a friends heated recaros in a couple of weeks and i was just curious if the wiring is hard, or how easy it is to incorporate to a car that didn't come with heated seats.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's plug-and-play.

I know that if you bought the SSS package for the X, the side rear-view mirrors have the harness in place for the heated side mirrors, you just need to buy the heated side mirrors. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the seats are the same way.

It's far less expensive for Mitsu to design 1 harness and install it during build, then when packages are added plug them in or not add the end parts, like seats and switches....but I bet it's all there if you look.

you will need the switch, wiring harness for the switch, and a relay. the rest of the wiring should already be there.

can that be removed from the other evo and swapped over? or will he still need the harness for the switch and a relay? like is it connected to something that can be removed?

He might need the harness, I can't say for sure because I bought mine from the dealer. The rest of the components he won't need.

I think you will only need the switch and the short harness that connects from the switch to the plug in the console. The heated seat should have the harness that attaches to the plug on the seat frame. That's it.

Yes, under the console is a plug for the heated seats switch. You'll need the little harness that plugs into that receptacle and then the switch itself. You could take both from the other Evo.

Do it while they aren't looking though...

Ask EvoX6950. He has made the switch and I got him the seats. He said it was fairly easy to do.
