normal vs humped coupler (loose)
normal vs humped coupler (loose)
Long story short, one of my ETS couplers keeps getting loose on my AMS licp intermittently. It holds for a little bit and then just pulls sideways. Of course this leads to a boost leak and and unpleasant leaking air squeal. I use the HD clamps and have already tried the hairspray trick multiple times. Someone recommended to me to get the "middle hump" coupler, but I would like to know the benefit of that vs attempting a dual HD clamp on both sides of the existing straight tubed coupler. Also, does ne1 have any other opinions on what to use besides hairspray?
A hump coupler allows for more movement and flexibility in the system. This issue makes me thing you have another problem though. Do you have all the UICP, LICP, and FMIC mounts properly secured? Something obviously isn't fitting correctly.
