Any idea what may cause this noise?

I made a video of the noise that happens when I close any door. It is heard from the driver side rear. When I open the trunk the noise goes away. I installed a reverse camera last summer but didn't hear the noise until many months after it was installed. I haven't removed the sub yet to investigate it; I am planning on waiting until it warms up some. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what this may be.

Check out the video below. The video makes it difficult to tell but where I put my hand is where it's coming from.

That's a tough one. The actual echo is coming from right where you were pointing?

Yes. it's very hard to tell in the video because its picking up other noises. I need to find a service manual to see what is behind that panel. When I put my hand on that panel I feel something engage but when I open the trunk it goes away.

I'm guessing that the back-up camera is installed on the trunk..

Maybe the installers ran the cable along that side and it has some slack when the trunk is closed and it rests right against either the rear quarter panel or whatever its touching back there.. But when you open the trunk you "pull" on the cable and move it off the quarter panel.

I have no idea really, just thinking in my head how the noise can disappear just by opening the trunk..

I installed the camera and ran the wires all the way along the trim along the front and rear driver side door and then routed the cable through the back seat on the driver side. Its all tucked nicely under the door trim and out of site.

The camera is a boyo license plate frame camera so its not mounted to the trunk. It's routed through a hole behind the license plate and drilled a small hole where the spare tire sits. There was a ton of slack when I pulled the wire and left it wound up on the bottom below the spare tire. I will probably have to take the sub out and check that the cable isn't stretched though.
