Acd/ayc reservoir issue for evo x!!

So i just bought my evo about two weeks ago, and I noticed when I drive my car for a short amount of time, for like about 20 mins or more, I check my acd/ayc reservoir and I see my fluids are a bit below minimum. But when I park my car and let it cool down for like 15-20 mins, the fluid goes all the way back up to max... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY IT DOES THIS?! Is it normal? A tech at mitsu dealership said im gonna need a new pump.. -.- hoping I dont.

this is normal... There is a high pressure reservoir in the pump, and when you drive, it is allways filled with fluid, so your plastic reservoir in the trunk goes a bit low... When you turn the car off, the fluid from the high pressure reservoir slowly goes back to the trunk reservoir so the level goes up....

Oh ok, i wasn sure if its normal or not. I have a warranty on the car still so I just wanted to make sure it wasnt the acd/ayc pump. But thanks for the info.

well, if you can get a new pump before the end of warranty, for whatever reason, do it as these pumps are failing quite often..

Read your owners manual.

This might blow your mind, but there's a place called a dealership that sells OEM stuff

This might blow your mind, but I'm not gonna go to a dealership and spend money to buy a manual when I found the answer within minutes on this forum.

The car should have come with an owner's manual. If not, and you bought the car new from the dealership, i would demand one. If you bought the car used, then spending some money to buy one would be a good investment.

Exactly. No better way to get info than directly from the horse's mouth complete with specifications and all maintenance requirements and schedules.
