Going to have a good read through the 'how to' section this weekend and if it builds my confidence may get something installed!

Just a quick question, say I do manage to install some of the things myself, would it be ok to drive the car to my tuner?
Yep. Just stay out of boost and under 3k. Light on the throttle. Not sure I would drive it 100+ miles or anything but ask your tuner what he thinks. Don't install 3 port ebcs tho. You can do that in 20-30 minutes at your tuners shop. I did intake, uicp, FMIC, LICP, dp, HFC, cbe, bov, and then drove very slow to my tuner the next day which was about 10 miles away. Then install the gs 3 port

Installing a 3 port and then driving to your tuners shop wont hurt man. Just stay out of boost and your good. Did it on my buddies 8...installed the fuel pump, injectors and 3 port....then drove 120miles to our tuner. Went the speed limit and stayed out of boost, no issues. Install everything and then double check....drive to your tuner....no need to waste time at the shop.

Thank you guys, I am considering installing AMS CAI & UICP myself Gonna search for a good how to. I am pretty confident I can get these done as it seems straight forward for these two parts.

291 is BHP for stock. He might have meant WHP.
