E85 time

Hey guys so they opened up a E85 station 12 min from my house. I dd my car and it's tuned at 360/360 on 91. Buying ID 1000cc and 255 walbro and then goin to get a dual map tune . For my 91 and E85 . What do you guys suggest I heard you can let it run out fully and switch maps then fill up the other fuel. My goal is 400wheel on stock turbo nothing more, just want that E85 power

Wait until your gas light goes on and you can fill up with e85. Once you fill up, dont go crazy right away. Stay off boost for a little untill the 91oct is completely out of the fuel lines. Id1000 is perfect for e85. I use the dw65c fuel pump cause its drop in kit. Its a simple install. 400whp on e85/stock turbo can be done.

well what you should do is run your 91 almost out then put a few gallon of e85 then run that almost out then go do a full fill up on corn...just my 2 cents lol

^yup. Depending on how aggressive timing is on your e85 map mixing the two could be dangerous. I would make sure you only have e85 in the tank and lines. You could always drain your tank of 91 and use it in a lawn mower/gas device. Then full up with e85. I wouldn't make it a habit of switching back and forth regularly just increases your chances to forget to change maps or gas selection. Good luck.

You may also want to get an ethanol meter since you're not in the mid-west. In MN I can pretty much count on it being E70 or higher all the time. In other parts of the country, it's not always like that in the winter.

It's not as easy to switch back and forth. It usually take 2-3 full tanks to go through before you have a reliable mix of fuel.

Run the tank down until the light comes on.

Keep driving it until the gas light starts to blink, then consider filling up with 5 gallons of e85

Repeat the cycle 2-3 times. (Carrying a gas can full of e85 helps with the anxiety of running out of fuel on the road somewhere).

After 2-3 times, fill up with a full tank.

When you first switch over to a new fuel you know its not running right. It's when you have a questionable mix (usually after the first 1-2 small tank full) that you run into issues because you start believing its pure and drive hard then it knocks and pulls timing really dramatically.
