I guess I didn't realize the newer ones don't. What a shoddy cutback from Mitsubishi. This is definitely one of the cooler features of the Evo. My guess is the cutback was cost related! Sorry for you 2011-12 guys

Good info for anyone that really wants to do this. It doesn't bother me enough to want to change door handles lol. It's simple enough for me to grab the door handle, hit the button with my thumb, and open the door. Curious as to why it was removed though, I'd hope it was something more than cost but we are talking about Mitsubishi here.
