Right now I'm currently running an AMS downpipe but I am considering switching to the ETS downpipe with the dump. Looking for opinons on this.

Opinion....

Great downpipe...
too much money.

MAP makes about the same downpipe... much less money.

This is the downpipe I have and The welds on it are perfect and I expect it to last as long as I need it to.

Stick with your current DP. It's made out of cast stainless steel, that won't crack over time.

Thanks for the referral! These have been available for years and to the best of my knowledge we had one that cracked but the prompted us to change our design and thus far we haven't had another issue!

Alright one question, what are the pros and cons of having the open dump rather than recirculating?

Open dump will be louder than recirculating and you won't pass emissions since you will be bypassing the cat. From what I've heard power gains are supposed to be slightly higher with an open dump.

I doubt you'll see any significant gains by switching out the downpipe. It seems like a waste of time and money to be honest.

I LOVE my open dump, but prepare yourself because under WOT it sounds crazy!!!(in a good way) I love going under overpasses and putting it to the floor, screams like banshee

ETS's quality and customer service are both excellent

But, if I already had a decent DP installed, not sure if I would want to switch. The install is a huge pain, paying to have it installed is too $$$ and the performance different will probably be unnoticeable. but, if your a fan of the open dump sound, go for it!!!

Hope this helps

I agree with you. On stock turbochargers you won't see a huge difference between the VTA and the Recirc. You will max out the turbocharger before a restriction happens. On a larger stock frame turbocharger you may see a gain, but you would need something restrictive in your exhaust system like a stock catalytic converter.

We have a lot of customers that get the dump version and find out it's just too loud. The recirculated downpipe will sound similar to factory and increase exhaust flow by removing the restrictive section in the o2 housing. We also separate the gasses which eliminates excess turbulence at the turbo outlet and helps with overall exhaust flow.

Thanks!

Michael
