Cant find fuel strainer/sock filter

Hey evom seeking some help, i have a walbro 255 fuel pump and would like to replace the sock filter on it. I was told the evo 8/9 filter would work for it and they are e85 capable which i plan to run in the future. I went to the dealer with the part number mb129895 but it came up as a different filter on the pump and was told the sock filter is not sold separetly on neither the evo x or evo 8/9. Any suggestion on where i can find a sock filter to fit my fuel pump, doesnt necessarily have to be for e85 since ill be running pump gas for now would just prefer it since ive heard its better.

Thanks in advance for any input given.

couple of options:

GM part #92220509
pontiac g8 filter, costs a bit over $40. not expressed as an e85 safe filter as the g8 is not a flex fuel vehicle but it looks similar to the holden commodore (australian) filter which is a flex fuel vehicle.

the other option is the actual holden commodore filter, specifically filter from an e85 car that fits just like stock in the evo. hard part is getting one, luckily for you i placed a bulk order from Australia. they should be here around the end of next week.

if you want one and can wait a bit, pm me. if you need one sooner, the GM part should work.

I sure hope so, i have a walbro as well so it would suck if it doesn't.

it looks like it will and i'm pretty sure people have used the stock filter on walbro pumps before so i say probably.

Well the AC/Delco GM filter you can do this ...
Carefully remove the filter part .... install filter on the stock evo filter frame
The other option is the Airtex filter part # FS246
I emailed them and they claim it is E85 safe
