Any info on a 2012 Octane Blue X near St. Paul, MN?

I'm finalizing a deal to purchase this (GSR, 2200 mile, SS, and SL pkg) for $35k. Anyone know anything about this car and/or previous owner? I'm a few states over and would prefer to understand any back stories prior to closing the deal.

Thoughts on price? It's clean, low mile, rare combo of options, etc. so I feel it is towards the higher end, but not unreasonable. However, if it was beaten to death in those 2200 miles I won't pay a premium..

Thanks

Is it from a dealer or private party? Link to the ad? Any mods on it? Most of the cars around here get an owner and are kept for a long time; any that are low mile like that are a result of financial issues.

^ Good advice. Have you run a carfax report? Have you tried to locate the owner on any of the forums?

You can probably get a new one with those options for close to that price.

Clean carfax. Yes, it was related to finances as an ouput from a 'bad choice' lets say. Completely stock. I figured this was the largest forum to locate the owner or someone who knows the car.

The deal is pretty much closed so it may be moot, but thought I'd poke around quickly. Thanks for the quick input.

Used Evo's are a shot in the dark. I would personally spend the few extra grand and buy a new one and then you know how it was driven.

I've looked and I can't find a new one within $5k of that. I searched autotrader for any distance from zipcode, new, evo, and checked sunroof and leather options and the only GSR was $39+k. Granted, that is starting price...

Plus I really like Octane Blue, and that was the last year offered if I recall.

Haha, no kidding! I'll buy all of them at that price!

The OP and I just spoke on the phone, this is in regards to a car that is at my dealership

It drives fine, it's not a crap shoot with only 2200 miles lol. Its got 2 small rock chips. That's it. We have a brad new one right in front of my desk, equipped the same way for 38.6 (including destination charges and rebates).

Wow, that is an impressive price. To get $36kOTD, you would have purchased the car at $33k since tt&l is about $3k. And that is also if the dealer doesn't charge any fees.

Assuming you purchased a GSR, the sticker price is about $39k with the SSSL. Getting $6k under MSRP is probably going to be difficult for someone else to get though.

I'm in Rockford as well and did a quick search. There is def at least one new car at a dealership "near" us with what you are looking at . Plus depending on how you plan to purchase and your credit rating you could easily take advantage of MMCA special financing options.

Sounds about right for the 36k Evo with SS package. I got a similar deal with my first Evo X and got another deal on my 2012 X from Sam at South Coast Mitsu.
