I'm taking it easy with this car, it's a lease so I'm not planning to spend more than 1000 over the next year on modifying it.

For the MR/SST transmissions, SSP is pretty much the boss. They make all sorts of filters and SST upgrades if you want to add power.
So I called RRE and they said that a dyno-tune will run me about 500 dollars, and I'm not sure if there's any shop better than these dudes in the LA area so I'm guessing prices are monopolized. No matter, I'm thinking about making an appt for my bday, see what they can do with the car.

That seems to be the standard quote from most tuners. Don't cheap out. Go with a well known tuner like RRE.

Not that I'm looking for the cheapest, I'm trying to decide whether to go with cobb or RRE because with cobb I can switch back to stock map in case I have to go to the dealer.

Not sure I understand your distaste for the lease. The lease deals on the EVOs are a solid deal, especially if you are planning on buying at the end of the lease. the residuals are far lower than a used EVO would be at the end of the lease term.

completely agree, not to mention if you plan to resale it you will end up with more cash than if you were to turn it in. And i have no clue why, but people have this distaste of modifying a leased car which would make sense if you're driving an IS250 or something, but this is a car that with a 1000 bucks you can add 85-100 whp.

Well you will def feel a humongous difference with a tune, maybe another extra 50 whp.

Body roll? I don't feel that much of a body roll to be honest, definitely some but not enough to make me get new springs lol. Def want springs for the wheel gap tho.
