Car cover suggestions?
Car cover suggestions?
What do you guys recommend as far as car covers go, for the GSR? Price isnt an issue really but still consider it as one of the facets towards which one you think is the best. Thanks guys!
I went with the Covercraft Evolution 4 Car Cover (custom) since my baby is essentially"stored" for the NY winter in the driveway. It was $200 online.

Probably, it's rated for outdoor use. It was covered in snow and ice last winter several times and my car was dry every time I removed it to go for a drive above freezing. I wash/dry the car well before covering and there weren't any signs of water spots or anything on the paint.
I haven't used it during the summer or high humidity, so I can't say for certain that moisture won't build up over time if it's on during major temperature swings.
You can get info here and there is a comparison chart there for their various cover products. Since you're in SoCal, will it be parked mostly in the sun or shade? If sun you should look at the chart because they have covers for "Intense Sun".

Well where it will be covered is mostly shade until about noon then around 4 or 5 its shaded again. I want it mainly for overnight use so theres no dew on my car after i just got it washed, i dont have time in the morning to remove the dew myself. Thanks for the info and links
I got the 4600mm version of this: http://bit.ly/1aAaCKd
works great, left it on for two weeks. The outside is reflective while the inside is cloth, designed to protect the car. While I was gone the conditions varied from high heat to extreme rain. Not to mention a ton of bird sh*t that rained upon the car. Came back two weeks later and the car is just as I left it, not even the wax came off. Don't see why you would want to spend more than 50 bucks on a car cover. Mine came with a bag too. Here's how I would rate it:
Waterproof quality: 10/10
Ability to reflect heat: 7/10 (came back and the glue holding my phone holder on the dash weakened)
Ease of installation: 8/10 (comes with side mirror holders so it can be tricky the first time around)
Ease of removal: 9/10
Comes with a traveling bag: Yes (and can be used as a pillow when inside the bag, but this is not an advertised feature lol)
Total: 34/40
