I recommend a v6 suv for you, a cheap one like a used jeep. You won't have to worry about kids bouncin *****, plenty of space for whatever activites you like. And, and!! A suspension like a waterbed along with lazzyboy like seats, all that for peanuts!

You are welcome! X was the wrong car to test drive, its as simple as that.
you sir are incorrect here let me correct you.... I said the evo x was a awesome amazing car and more than I imagine. In fact to much to the point I feel I wouldn't get my moneys worth out of it by driving it like it should be.... so just calm down and read at least never said I didn't like it and goes for the guy who thought it was funny

Yeah the SST is far more costly to maintain than say my old Dodge neon or ZX3 Focus. OP should at least know that he'll be paying $1000 on the 30k and even more on the 60k. Not to mention how many of us change things like plugs at 15k, some even change the SST fluid and filter every 15k which is aroud 500 parts and labor.

The Ralliart is a decent car and sounds like something you could live with. Also, the price point is better than an Evo. It has the transmission you are looking for and basically, looks like an Evo from a distance. [I know, because I have thought that very thing]. Regardless, get a car that suits your needs. For me, my Evo X is a toy. I only drive it on nice, sunny days and store it all winter. My son, who also has an Evo X, drives his every day, rain, snow or sun. It is absolutely the most fun car I have ever driven in a brutal snowstorm. You actually want to go out and drive in deep snow because with dedicated snow tires, it seems almost invulnerable.

You whine about the road quality - that is the issue here. What kind of suspension do you expect from a sports car?

Have you test drove a Ralliart?? You are making the same mistake that you made about the X. You think it will be a good car for you. NOPE

I have test driven a Ralliart and the suspension is barely softer. Not enough to notice on bad roads and unless you get the rare base one it comes with Recaros - which I find very comfortable but then again I keep fit.

When I suggested a cheap SUV I meant it! - You want a AWD car with a soft suspension, lazy boy seats and that is cheap so if kids hit it with a bball you will not go home pissed off about it. Based on that I don't see what other car you can afford that will fit the bill.

So how fun is it in the snow? And how do you all keep from wanting to go faster. Cause when I was test driving it I was doing 120 easy, in s-sport. I didn't even drive it in normal or sport so I guess that made a difference too. And honestly I don't do any work on my cars aside from some interior and intakes bov basics, so that's another factor and with there being no mitsu dealers around here having a evo would be like having a ferrari good luck on finding a knowledgable mechanic for it.

Well, with Blizzak WS70 tires, his Evo has no problem beating awd trucks, SUV's and awd cars up steep hills that are slippery and full of snow. The car literally goes from a stoplight like it is summer. The amount of confidence you get in driving the car makes you feel almost oblivious to any weather condition.

As for going fast, that is something you will have to deal with. It would be the same with any performance car. And, if servicing an Evo or Ralliart is a deal killer for you, then I would look elsewhere. How about an STi or WRX?

With snow/ice tires on, Evos are simply amazing in the snow.

You obviously lack the responsibility needed to keep yourself in check on public roads.

Sure Evos are fast and we do get on it from time to time. Reading your replies and asking us 'how we keep from going faster' it is VERY evident you do not belong behind the wheel of an Evo...any Evo...any sports car for that matter...

You've already convinced yourself it's not worth it....Stick to your Altima and be done with it.

No disrespect intended.

Landed the altima in a sweet deal to pass up expecially since the dealership gave me 13k for a 08 scion tc with over 100k miles on it. I got the altima cause I needed a 4 door for the baby. Evos don't come income and not so good credit score friendly. I had 2 gst both modded with evo 16gs and 1 didn't even have a working speedometer and not 1 ticket so I know how to drive. I was just asking a simple question. But it seems this board differs from no others when comes to that

Mine makes all sorts of noises. Not sure if it's the car or my paranoia.

I was gonna stay away from this thread because I don't know if this is trolling or what. I just dont see the point to go onto a forum and tell people that you are not interested in a car. But first and foremost is this:

You would be insane to accept a 14% interest rate. Hire a credit repair specialist and get your credit in check first. That is unless you like to give your money away to banks and financial institutions.

I have read through this thread and may have missed it, but I'm curious. Why is the issue with the Mitsu dealer being so far away a problem if you get an Evo? But it's not a problem if you get a Ralliart?

As I said other things came into play, the fact that is 50miles for a mistsu dealer so warranty work would be a journey
, maintence for a evo x I would imagine would be higher just as insurance would be also, and I just can see myself paying 30k plus to curise around town. I love the entire lancer look so widebody isn't important. And I could fit ur evo in my altima;-) my altima is great and there dealers everyone ad the warranty is fantastic, I'm still gonna get a ralliart, take nothing from the evo x its a bad a$$ car but not for me at this time, but I just may see what that green evo will come to be if it ever sheds light

Haha good point. Plus, I don't think dealers would let people go 120 easy on test drives.
