Stuck in Limp mode
Stuck in Limp mode
Hey Guys,
I just got an Evo X with a little damage to the front, and when I got it...it was running, but seems to be stuck in Limp mode........ revs go up to about 1800-1900 when warmed up...Feels like it has no power....can press the pedal down a little and it doesn't do anything till its depressed more than a half inch...Revers it can't even go over a speed bump.. Also has 4wd service required and the check engine light on. I scanned it and it has these codes..
P0102 Mass Airflow Circuit Low Input
P2122 Accelerator pedal position sensor (main) circuit low input
P2122 Accelerator pedal position sensor (main) circuit low input
I replaced the MAF, and the accelerator pedal + sensor, and it keeps coming back as soon as I clear them.
In the accident the fuse box was crushed, but couldn't find any wires that got pinched. I ended up taking out the entire harness to verify no wires are bad, rewrapped all of the harness.
It is an SE 2010 with SST with 13k miles on it got it from a salvage auction.
I checked all vacuum lines, and nothing was wrong there. Also when I got the car there was an ETS intercooler on it(damaged) two aftermarket catch cans, AMS test pipe and Magnaflow exhaust. Is there a chance there could be a tune in it or something was taken off the car that is making it run like this.
Any Help would be appreciated I just can't figure it out.
Pics are from before I replaced all wiring.

By chance have you tried the throttle body? If the intercooler was damaged the jolt may have come up the lower pipe and damaged it. If you are in the PA area My buddy owns Streetworks Automotive Tuning. I could have him look at the computer for you to see if anything if off.

I didn't think about checking the throttle body or TPS since there wasn't any codes but I'll see if the voltage is right and ohm out the sensor. I'm about 2 hours away from streetworks but might have to give them a call if I can't figure anything out up where I'm at. I'm in the Scranton Wilkes-Barre area.
