Engine stalled but didnt shut off?

few days ago I was driving to my doctor for a physical therapy appointment when the car lost all acceleration. but the car didn't shut off . I kept on hitting the gas peddle trying to get the car to move but nothing happened, so about ~25sec later I was able to move the car as the acceleration came back. the car did sputter as it lost acceleration.
I was able to pull a code and it was P0123 Code - Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input. the car drives fine now but that code got me in a panic mode cause I don't want it to die on a freeway. car just past 100k mile mark last week, everything was changed when I had 60k service done on the motor. only mods I have is a aem intake and exhaust. gas I been runnin for last few months is 89 oct

car is a 2003 lancer oz rally btw, ATX trans

That would cause it for sure. Did you replace the switch? I would figure it's only a matter of time till it does it again.

If you have access to a multimeter, you can test the throttle position sensor to make sure it's in working order. There's a good chance that there is probably a dead spot in it causing you those issues.

Lol, the dealer wants 170, autozone 100 and rockauto 100. Me and a buddy were having a conversation last night about how hard it would be to start a business because you can't compete with the prices on eBay. Hell, some things on there are cheaper than it would cost me in supplies
