Who here has gone from an EVO 8 OR IX to a X. Anything you miss about the 8 or IX? Do you wish you didn't make the move to a X?

reason why im asking is because i owned two 8's and i really miss them. But i cant seem to reason on spending the money on a low mileage 8 or IX when i can buy a X and have a newer car. im just lost on what to do. love the look of both, the older evos are much more aggressive looking. but i love the flow of a X

IX to X here...zero regrets! X is the better car, no way I'd consider going back.

i'd never trade in a 9 for a X, but if you don't have any evo right now, might as well get a new car

X to IX to X. The only thing I miss about the the IX was how it was so light, had a go-kart feel and the looks. Other than that the X is better all around imho.

The x looks much more aggressive from the front, no doubt about! Get the x, you don't want an neanderthal evo that is falling apart!

I went from a IX MR to a X GSR. I liked the seats, steering wheel and gauges in my IX better, but I quickly got over it. The X is fantastic, you won't regret it.

VIII to a X for me... only thing i miss bout my 8 was how fast it was (but my x will get there) and just the "raw" feeling it had... but i still love my X

I bought an X but I was looking really hard for an 05-07 Evo and you just can't seem to find any that haven't been trashed without having to do a ton of searching. To me that was a big factor in going with a new X.

The other main factor was less dilution from the JDM market so you get all the features (ACD and SAWC) that we didn't get in the past.

At the time I bought the IX it was the better deal for me. If I were to do it today I'd go for the X. Both have plenty of potential.

I went from an Evo 8 (2003) to the Evo X (2010) and I have no regrets.

This same style thread has been merged so many times.

There's a thread stuck at the top of the newbie forum that is several hundred pages long covering this topic.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-merge-37.html

Please research/continue there. Thanks!
