I had my 08 evo x shipped from socal to wisconsin several years back and paid under a grand or so, I can't remember who I used but it wasn't one of the big names. Car showed up in perfect shape though. I'd echo what's been said though, don't be afraid to pay a little more because if it does end up costing you it will cost a lot more in the long run.
