Shipping Evo

I need to ship my Evo from Cleveland to San Diego this month as I'm moving. I'm wondering how much I should pay and if I can get some advice. Thanks

If you use Dependable Auto Shippers, figure ~1200 bucks and take 2-3 weeks

DO NOT USE ANY BROKERS YOU WILL KICK YOURSELF

DO NOT GIVE ANY BROKERS YOUR PHONE NUMBER OR AN EMAIL YOU WILL EVER WILL BE BOMBARDED!!

it will be h, e, double hockeysticks my friend. Just use DAS.

I used DAS about 10 years ago. They where 4 weeks late and my car arrived with different wheels, scratches, flat tire, and cracked taillight. I would not recommend them.

That's not okay at all. Different wheels? How did they respond to that? I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

Talk to a dealership. They may be able to get a car on a truck already going that direction. It could save you some money. We've done this for customers in the past.

I wound up talking to a trucker guy in Anaheim when I shipped my last Evo from SoCal. I know he could coordinate something for you, he was a straight shooter and the price was good. PM me if you want his info!

My experience with DAS sucked as well- 3 weeks late, floor mats stolen from the trunk, car dropped off basically in the middle of the night in a crappy area...

Why not just drive it down instead of trusting it to some moron? It's not that far...

I'm trying to avoid getting a quote from online brokers because they were calling me at 6am last time. I want to try to deal directly with the shipping company.

Touche'

But then again, a set of steelie wheels + blizzaks would still be cheaper than shipping it, and you'd be the one driving it. Then if you ever needed snow tires for some skiing in Northern Cali, you're set!

I've thought about driving too. I mean, I did drive 14 hours back/forth to pick up my Evo and then come straight to work. It's just that the conditions will probably be bad and I won't be saving that much money either. Also, it will take 3 days.

I could do anything about it because it took place in a different state

Yeah it sucked. Could do anything about because it happened in different states. I only was able to get DAS to pay for one new tire. The place where I picked up my car looked like chop shop.
