As far as the oil change is concerned, I plan on changing my oil at 2,500 miles and going to full synthetic from dealership. Probably won't do the other fluids until 15,000 miles or if mechanics notice anything.
This thread is a few months old, but yes going into reverse is hard on mine as well. From my toyota days i put it in second then reverse and it seems to help a bit.
