Occasionally this summer (mostly when it was hot out), my blower fan would make this awful noise/vibration. I turn it off and it goes away...now that it's cold out, when I turn the heater on, I get the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this and/or have a fix?

 

Not on the evo but on a GTS. Bought a motor thinking it was bad, when it got warmer it worked fine. Couple of days ago I heard it again but it did it for only a couple of hours. Btw when I first heard it, it was winter as well.

Update:
I took the glove box out and pulled the motor to check for debris, etc. Upon visual inspection, everything looked fine...ran it while everything was apart and it appears that something must have just seized/corroded inside the motor and is causing the noise. I am going to replace it and that should take care of it.
