Dinging Sound Randomly

I was using navigation on Sunday, and I heard the airplane-y ding sound again. It was shortly before a curve in the road. Not a "turn" where navigation would have to tell you to turn onto a different road. Same road, just maybe a 45 degree curve in the road. I looked at the screen before the curve and saw a yellow arrow in the lower left corner noting the left hand 45 degree curve. I think that's what the sound is for - alerting you to a significant curve in the road. The conditions in which the ding would sound is dependent on what the MMCS deems worth sounding off on I suppose.

That makes sense, as the entry ramps that I hear it on have an extreme curve to them.

This is correct. If you find a way to turn it off, let me know. It's annoying.

this morning in florida it was 35 degrees and i got a ding sound with a prompt saying " possible icy roads" ...lol
i have a 2014 GSR......icy roads in florida ?? lol
