Evo X Flashlight Help

So I have seen this before and it's driving me crazy trying to figure out if it actually exists as a factory part or if it is a modification.

I saw a picture on the forums that shows a flashlight mounting point with a flashlight mounted below the hood latch pull on the drivers side kick panel.

I will post a picture of it in a bit.

Does anyone's Stock X have this? Is it not available in the states? Japan or Europe or something?

If so where do you find this part number!?

well, it's not factory here anyways,

that's a right hand drive evo, so maybe it was a JDM market option. Or maybe somebody just cut a hole in the kick panel.

I work around plastics and it never looks that good by just cutting into a panel. looks molded in there to me. I also noticed the RHD so probably only available in Japan. (the console gives that away) Anyone have a Part Number possibly?

me too. for Evos

I just looked close tho, and I do see a clip near the center of that...it looks like a surface mount c-clip of sorts. Now I want one for the mere reason that it exists.

Looks to be the spot were they have the OEM (in Japan) Road Flare mounted. This is common with a lot of JDM cars.

I would personally assume that the Flash light was not a factory option and was just done by the owner of that car.

Wouldn't be hard to do. Just find a flashlight the same size as the flare to fit there

To bad we never received anything like this here in the States I have always thought that was a cool little something different with JDM cars over the USDM ones

Yea, I don't think the us would be in love with a pyrotechnic in the passenger seat. but the flashlight idea is novel. or an umbrella.
