Please help comment on my driving habbit.
When coasting has dropped the RPM to the point where the next gear down is called for, I leave my foot on the gas while doing the down-shift. It's easier to rev-match with a squeeze than with a stab/blip.
When down-shifting while braking, I try to heel-and-toe, which is more of a side-of-foot/side-of-foot in this car in my case. This is a blip.
When coming to a stop (at, e.g., a light), I either blip while braking if I think that the light might change or if I'm in the mood to practice (or show off to a new passenger), but usually just shove it in neutral.

practice, practice, practice. While i was learning how to drive stick, I would let out the clutch slowly and not make any abrupt maneuvers. You pretty much wanna rev up to where the engine speed should be. Work on just holding the gas down rather then blip'in it. When you get better then try the to blip it. Then when you good at that, learn heal-toe.
How well you match the revs to engine speed and how you handle ur clutch pedal is how smooth it will be. Be patient and soon enough you will learn from you mistakes and "feel" the right ways of doing it.
