What do you guys think about getting a plain gsr with out the SSS package which brings sound system and HIDs . I'm pretty big on listening to music pretty loud. It's just try are barely making any evos like that atm ... Please give me some suggestions.

 

I bought a base GSR, after having it a few months I like it so much I'm 99% sure I'm going to take the financial hit and switch up to the maxed out GSR.

 

I would go with the SSS. They're all a must, including the high spoiler. Plus the smart key system is so awesome. When I bought my Evo X that was a must have.

 

Do you mean the SSS has a taller spoiler than the base GSR?

 

Do it. As long as your pocket can afford it.
for me I don't care about all the add ons I just like raw cars with the power... because the lighter I am the faster I go.... this is why when I got my GSR I wished I had gotten the RS.

I was looking at 2 Evo X models, 1 base model GSR and 1 GSR with SS. (Sunroof and Leather are together as a separate package now.) Both GSRs had the tall wing, which I believe used to come only with the older GSR SSS package.

I'm glad I went with the SS package. It comes with the Rockford sound system, HID, and FAST key system. Coming from a BMW 335i, I had to have the FAST key system.

 

I did. I had a 2012 base model and traded in for a 2013 with SS, SL, interior package, and led package. My payments went up about $100 a month.

The 2011+ Evo GSR's all come with the high spoiler. But the stock base model sound system sucks IMO.

 

If/when I sell my IX to get an X, I will definitely be looking for a car with the SSS package simply for the HIDs. Swapping a non-hid car to hid is very expensive to do right.

HIDs are great for visibility, but also IMO make the car look that much better.

 

I picked up a '14 X with SS. I got the SS because I wanted a better than stock stereo (previously had a base '12 lancer GT) and the better lighting of the HID's. The fast key is great too. It's a little pricey imo at 2K for just those items but oh well. I got my Evo tho!

 

i got a '12 base model. It has the tall wing but none of the other things. I wanted base model because I didn't really care for the sound system. Maybe HID's but i wanted to do aftermarket on that anyway with angel eyes and such so I would have switched it out anyway. All up to you

 

I have a '11 GSR SSS.... pretty much everything except the Navi. A few months after rolling off the Mitsu lot, I wish I added the Navi. Now I wish I went w/ the Base model w/ just HID and wing

 

I also got a 2011 WW GSR SSS. Loved everything except the spoiler which I replaced with the doluck trunk. Now it looks so much better, simple and clean.

 

Definitely worth it for the FAST key and sound system.
