hey every i got a pretty much stock evo 8 and i was woundering what would i need to make a 400AWHP built and how much do you guys think it would cost me?? thx

 

This is just my guess. FP green, cams, 1xxx injectors, spring/retainers, fuel pump, tune, intercooler, exhaust.

 

When we say "Built" it normally refers to a completely "built" engine. Which is obviously not cheap and not really necessary to have 400whp. I guess the first question would be what fuel would you like to use, because that makes a difference. E85 or 93oct? The reason for this question is because it will determine which turbo you will need.

 

Turbo, stock 8's don't like to push 400. At least get an IX turbo in there.
Cams are a must, injectors but size depending on fuel, walbro fuel pump, LICP, turbo back exhaust and Ported stock manifold.

 

well id have to go with 93 cause, i live in canada and the city that i live in there not fuel pumps with E85.

 

also it doesnt have to be a full built like you guys are saying, but i mean i do wanted it to be well done, its many like what i would need to be able to hit that 400 mark also being fearly reliable.

 

aside from the suggestions you need to spend some time searching

go through the dyno chart section and see what mods people are using to achieve what power...also see "the evo modding for dummies" thread in the stickies in this section
