400WHP Suggestions

hey everyone, i want to get my car to 400 at the wheels, im at 320whp and would like to know what other people did to get to 400. THANKS!!

First of all, it's pretty unlikley that you have 320whp with those mods on an 03, and to get to 400whp, you just need to search.

The first thing I'd do is get rid of that TXS MBC, then get cams, alky, 10.5, licp, manifold, and o2 housing.

Call AMS, they are right there by you. They would talk to you about what you want to do and give you suggestions about the set up that works best for your application.

(Off Topic) dubbleugly01, how hard was that? Give something other then "jeez, search!"

On a dyno jet my 05 put out 362 with hks tbe, mbc, k&n drop in, hks cams, vishnu cam gears, walbro, 660's, and tuned using the vishnu xede. I could be wrong but 400 on the stock turbo maybe difficult. My 03' with similar mods put out 346.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm only at 304 hp, but I'm in AZ with 91oct. Personnally, I don't think it's hard to get 400 out of a stock turbo. You just have to do the right mods together. That's the hard part. It also matters who tuned you. All the tuners out there know what they are doing, but some are better then others.

I have 264/272 and my car was tuned by Tuning Technologies in so cal.

Might you be leaving out the fact that you did this on 100oct? I'm pretty sure you didn't achieve those numbers on 91oct. Using 100oct is about equivalent to having alky, so it's advisable not to omit that tidbit of information.

AEM, WHITE RABBIT , 680 INJECTORS... AND YOUR READDY TO GO BUDY.

You got the rest. If the tuneing is done right you should be over 400 so then your going to start hereing about that this was done on this dyno and that reads higher this dyno reads lower this dyno sucks ohh thouse are touched up numbers so shoot for higher hp so you have you goal you set out to break.

AND ILL SEE YOU AT STRATS THIS SUMMER BRING YOUR A GAME.

I love these threads, this is prob the 19th million this week, why are people so worried about 400whp on a dyno, I would rather see someone ask what it takes to have a car trap 119 or something along those lines. Dynos are a tool for tuning and thats it.

He MAY have done it on 91, especially with colder weather. They have had a few freak cars come through there. I am expecting 330ish whp when I get cams. I have seen some cars with cams only get like 312whp. I'm @ 306 without the mods listed below

You know as well as I do that it is very unlikely. Almost all the guys dyno on both 91 and 100oct at TT. There's no way he had 2 freaks that put out more power on 91oct than any other Evo with the same mods on 93oct. 360+ on an 05 w/cams and nothing else special? Not on 91oct. You know better than that, atlvalet. You expect 330whp with cams on your WR using 91oct...if you did 100oct, you'd be around 360. You wouldn't expect a lesser turbo with basic mods to do the same power on just 91oct, would ya?

have to agree with Warr on that one.
I too would like to know what the fascination with 400whp is? Why didnt u just tell us what u wanted out of your car, and how fast u wanted it to be for how you drive it? Where did you come up with 400whp basically?
