400AWHP Suggestions

The first thing I'd do is get rid of that TXS MBC, then get cams, alky, 10.5, licp, manifold, and o2 housing.

As for the suggestion, just get cams, bigger injectors, lower ic pipe, and lightened crank pulley. There is not a doubt in my mind that that would put you over 400awhp
Also, suggesting injectors and a lightened crank pulley is just plain wrong. How in the world would those mods get him over 400whp? How many stock turbo'd Evos do you see running around with 400+whp? There's VERY FEW, and if it only took these weird mods you mentioned, then everyone would have 400+whp. That's crazy talk. YOu didn't even mention alky, which is 100% necessary. No stock turbo is going to make 400whp on pump gas alone without nitrous or anything. Please don't suggest upgraded injectors and a lightened crank pulley (wtf?) on a stock turbo'd Evo!
Hm... Actually, if you go to MAC autosport which is prolly an hours worth of drive for both of us, Nick there will tell you the truth. He's tuned over hundreds of evo's with that set up and seen them range all the way from 300whp to 330 whp. He also said that Alky injection is crap and that he'll guarantee anyone with an evo that he'll get them 390 to the wheels with those mods plus cam shafts, injectors and that lower ic pipe. I don't really know where that crank pulley came from... but if you have any objections, go ask the Mac people. Scott there will tell you the same thing. Tommy at Street Concepts will also say the same thing.

there was another person, i forgot the guys name but he had the same exact set up as me and was putting 321@22psi. so this is reachable and ive seen it done on many evos around here. and as far as the TBXS MBC, thats definetly going because i have bought a Profec-B spec II and just waiting for better weather to change it so i can bring the boost back up

If no Evo in the country at sea level can hit 390whp with cams on pump gas/no alky/no nitrous, then how can people at MAC guarantee it on every Evo up at 6000'? have you thought about that? There's no reason to even get injectors at that power level, plus they don't make extra power. The only reason they're adding injectors is because they don't have flashing software, so they are relying on SAFCs to do tuning. An SAFC can't make good power without injectors when on pump gas, which just makes it an added and unnecessary expense. I've already helped 2 CO guys in the last 2 days who were told to get injectors for no good reason, and their cars are running like crap. I told them to go back to stock injectors and get custom flashed by Al in a few weeks. I don't know what lines of bull the shops up here are feeding Evo owners, but I plan to put an end to it.
Btw, you will only see me quote uncorrected numbers up there. I won't be claiming fantasy-land numbers that are raised by 25%.
That guy says alky is crap? Wow, not too smart.
we shouldnt be asking Takahashi so many questions, lets get Nick from MAC autosport. He's got the real answers to all our needs apparently. For a place that tunes evo's so well, he must have a computer. Tell him to join us in a friendly chat!

hey guys quick question. i live in hawaii and there is not a single awd dyno in the state. so there for i havent been able to do any crazy mods or have it tuned or dyno'd. as of now i have a 3" tbe (turboxs downpipe, turboxs race pipe, hks hi-power exhaust) , injen air intake w/ upper i/c pipe, and hks bov. with those mods alone on and 05 evoVIII can anyone give my what in there opinion i would be running as far as quarter mile or 0-60 or awhp? i would really like to know but wont be able to get to an awd dyno for another 3 years. pls help. thx

1) Not having an AWD dyno has nothing to do with crazy modding or making good power. You don't need a dyno for anything. It's just a measurement tool.
2) Awful combo of mods there. You have a VTA BOV that is terrible for the Evo, and you have a shiny, expensive intake that provides no power untuned and can actually hurt your car like the BOV. 2 mistakes there.
3) We can't give you 1/4-mile, 0-60, or awhp estimations, because there are tons of factors: driving ability, temp, humidy, track conditions, altitude, octane, launching ability, HP, TQ, etc. Right now being untuned with poor choices of mods, you are probably very weak in all of those categories.
My suggestions to you:
1) Sell the HKS SSQV and use the money to get a Forge RS DV or JDM MR DV.
2) Purchase and install a Forge UNOS MBC.
3) Purchase and install a Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump.
4) Sign up for the Dynoflash tuning trip to Hawaii that is happening on Feb 25/26, but make sure you do steps 1-3 before the tune.
After all that, you will be at the point where I achieved the following measurements that you inquired of:
1/4-mile - 12.26
0-60 - 3.4 estimated through online calculator
AWHP - 300 on a Dynojet with 93oct at sea level

2) i know its not hurting me cause i whipped a stock 05 sti w/ 3 people in my car and only 1 in his car.
3) you cant tell me an awd dyno dont have anything to do with making "good power" and who ever does ill be the one laughing when the engines goes cause they relying on there aem wideband and a few runs.
4)thx

2) It's definitely hurting you. Please don't rely on some sort of street race to determine that your tune is ok or that your car is running well. That would be foolish. Get to a track. Your Evo does not defy physics.
3) Yes, I can. You're fooled if you think you need a dyno to do anything related to making power. People's engines don't "go" due to carefully tuning on their wideband on the street. However, engines can "go" when tuning on a dyno and thinking those same settings are going to be proper on the street. Not sure where you got this idea that you have to have a dyno in order to make good power...
4) I use my stock 17.4lb MR BBS rims for daily driving and drag racing, but I use 18lb cheapo Rota Torques for auto-x and road racing with my r-comps.
What I did is simple but sure thing, not speculation. I slapped on gt35r with 264/272 cams, exhaust, fuel-pump, 780cc injectors, tuned with ECU+ and a base flash to get 410 whp with 21.x psi of boost on Mobil/76 91 oct.
Stock block, no alcohol, no race gas addition, no bull****... The car trapped up to 123 mph with my granny shifting. It is a freeway monster that can run with big boys like modified z06, e55, 911 turbo... It been with me in and out many drag events and still intact (although, I admit that it may need some trans work in order for me to shift faster at those high rpm like 8000rpm).
