Need help to identify an electrical connector behind bumper...

I'm fixing a damaged 2012 EvoX and have a connector behind the bumper that I can't seem to figure out it's purpose. It's under the passenger headlight, above the oil cooler (see pics). The fog lights are connected in the front center, so it's not that.

I can't open the pics, but, odds are, you've come across the IC sprayer's connector, which isn't used on USDM Evo Xs.

Pics are fixed (I think). I was leaning towards it being unused, so that makes sense. Thanks.

Yep. That's the one. Unused on a USDM X and widely believed to be for an IC sprayer elsewhere.

I thought the IC sprayer harness was the on top/center of the crash beam? not the fog lights one, but the one like two inches above that

The harness that leads to that area has the horn, ambient temp sensor, and fog lights. The one I indicated is a heavier gauge (~14ga) 2-wire connector going back into the main harness. It makes sense that it would be used for something that draws more current, like a pump.

Actually, the fact that it's a thick wire is one of the arguments against it being for the IC sprayer, since the pump was in the trunk on the Evo Xs with a sprayer. That's part of why I wrote "widely believed," instead of "known."

The only thing that is definite is that the connector is unused on USDM Xs as delivered.

Maybe they left that harness on the car to mess with us.

lmao wut. well I guess you could use it as a good, effective, and clever spot if you need a source of power, just splice right into that "unused harness". even better, get a female connector and use that.
