Suggestions for my Evo X?

I've got a beautiful black 2013 Evo X GSR. So far, all I've done is replace the UICP and the air intake with a K&N kit. I've got a lot of plans for it but i'm pretty inexperienced. I want to get more power out of it without sacrificing too much driveability. Any suggestions?

Downpipe, Exhaust, Manual Boost Controller, LICP, bigger Intercooler, and solid tune should give you some nice numbers. Maybe even throw on some bigger injectors and run E85.

First and foremost before anything you should get the Works Shifter Package. It will make your shifting a lot better. After that IMHO an Intake and if you're really feeling it and fuel pump (only cuz its a great cheap mod that you will be glad you did in the long run). Get a decent tune and enjoy the car. before the mod bug bites again.

But if nothing else the Works Package is the way to go. Here's a link:

Hopefully you got a tune for the UICP and the intake. If not, then that should be the next thing you should do if you really want to take advantage of those mods.

Next should probably be a turboback exhaust, and then decide if you want to go further with a bigger turbo and all the work that goes with it (intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, etc.).

Your off to a good start with the upper and intake. The intercooler and exhaust system will be beneficial as well. Here is a link to a step by step dyno thread we did.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ts-thread.html

Full bolt on's will net 350-370 depending on the dyno / tune.

Thanks!

Michael

What would be the benefit/drawbacks of running E85?

Benefit is it adds about 50hp over 93 octane. Drawback is it can be hard/impossible to come by depending on where you live.

I live in Philly, and there is only 1 e85 gas station within 30 minutes of me. Obviously I decided to stick with 93 lol.

Copy that. Lol. I'm also looking to install an AFR guage. Any helpful tips on putting this in and what kind of ratios I should be looking for. I know about running lean or rich but I don't know at what ratio I should be concerned about either.
