color question
color question
I was curious about something, is there more of certain colors then others? I see so many grey/black/silver evos. White and red are a little rarer, and i hardly EVER see the two blue colors.
Did they make more or less of certain colors or something or am I crazy

I don't think it has anything to do with production it's jut what happens to be in your area. all I ever see is red or white or silver. Never seen black, blue, graphite grey or yellow which is def limited production colour because of it's unpopularity. But like I said I don't think any colour is more "rare" than the other except yellow. It's just what's in your area...

Don't remember off the top of my head, but you can search around and find info on the production runs that came to the US. 06 WW MRs are very rare. Take into account the fallen and many colors are much rarer today than they were originally.

it seems like evos get crashed so much! Feels like a different evo is posted on the insurance auctions everyday. At that rate they will all become extinct! Lol
Not all colors were made on all model years for the evo x. Don't know if the following is 100% accurate but from what I've heard/read in forums:
Octane blue was only MY 2008
Rotor Glow (Orange) also only in MY2008 and only certain markets (never seen on in person)
Cosmic blue is a newer color I think it started in 2012
Like 95% evo x's in my area are WW

CB was made from 12-present
RG was only made in 2010 (US market)
I'm pretty sure CB started with the 2013 Model Year.
I say that because when I was shopping in Oct 2012, the dealers only had the brochures for 2012 and OB was listed, not CB. The second dealer I went to had my 2013 CB on the lot but didn't have the new 2013 brochures yet.

I've only seen black and white Evo X's in my area. (I happen to have Apex Silver btw)
I think they produce more "neutral" colors because they sell better to a wider range of people. I've dealt with having a black car in the past and after reading about the Evo clear coat/paint, I think the only sensible options are WW or AS.
